As a seasoned therapist who has experienced the process from both sides of the ‘couch,’ I know therapy can be a powerful tool for personal growth when guided by a practitioner who finds satisfaction in helping others, provides a nurturing environment, listens respectfully and non-judgmentally, questions thoughtfully, provides guidance if requested,

During my years in private practice as well as a Senior Supervising Psychologist at the Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services, I have helped clients of different ages and backgrounds struggling with a range of problems. However, I have found that my skill set is a particularly good match for adults from college age through midlife who are grappling anxiety and depression triggered by confusion about professional and personal goals as well as interpersonal problems with partners, family members, friends, and colleagues.

As a clinician, I draw flexibly from different therapeutic approaches without being wedded to a ‘one size fits all’ treatment regimen, informed by my training at Columbia University, where I received my PhD, Adelphi University, where I completed the Certificate Program in Adult Psychotherapy, and at the Institute for Behavior Therapy, where I completed the Certificate Program in Behavioral and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Whether we will be a good ‘match’ I cannot guarantee. However, I can guarantee that I will do my utmost to help you through whatever difficulties prompt you to consult with me.
